Santé Winelands Wins Oscar of Spa Awards in New York

The Santé Winelands Hotel and Wellness Centre in the Paarl-Franschhoek Valley outside Cape Town has won the USA Spa Finder 2006 Readers' Choice Crystal Award as 'Favourite Spa of Africa'. Considered the 'Oscars of the Spa industry', the coveted Crystal award as 'Best in the World' by continent, was announced at a champagne awards function in New York City on 10 September 2006.

The award follows hot on the heels of two other major international awards received earlier this year, when Santé Winelands was voted winner of the British Conde Nast Traveller 'Favourite Overseas Spa Retreat' award, as well as rated amongst the top three Spas in the World in their Readers Spa Awards - scoring a whopping 97,36%.

Santé Winelands Managing Director, Sandi Dekker was present at the glittering awards ceremony in New York where she received the 'Favourite Spa of Africa' award from Spa Finder CEO Pete Ellis and President Susie Ellis. The awards covered six continents and 14 nations/regions, as voted by Spafinder.com visitors and Luxury Spa Finder Magazine readers, which together attract millions of spa consumers annually. Under the leadership of Dr Geraldine Mitton their Medical Director and a spa management team that is unsurpassed in South Africa in terms of expertise and experience, Santé will continue to bring a superb, proudly South African spa experience to their valued local and international guests.
