A new initiative by Les Nouvelles Esthetiques S.A has seen the birth of the Les Nouvelles Esthetiques-Starfish Wellness Days in aid of the phenomenal Starfish® Greathearts Foundation, who aims to ultimately ‘Turn the tide on AIDS’.
 
An international charity, with branches in the U.K, South Africa, Canada and the United States, Starfish® helps support children orphaned or made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS in Southern Africa. The charity aspires to mobilise individuals to use their time, talents and resources to bring hope, life and opportunity to these children, as they believe that each person can make a difference - one child at a time.

The Les Nouvelles Esthetiques-Starfish Wellness Days provide spas and clients with the opportunity to partake in a Wellness Day in support of making a difference to the lives of the children that Starfish® Greathearts Foundation supports.

The Les Nouvelles Esthetiques-Starfish Wellness Days provide you with the opportunity to enjoy a delightful wellness day at the SPA while making a difference to the lives of the children that Starfish® Greathearts Foundation supports.
 
A portion of the proceeds will go to Starfish® to fund and build awareness of the issues surrounding children orphaned or made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS in South Africa. So, go ahead and invite friends, work associates or family to spend a day at the SPA.

An old man had a habit of early morning walks on the beach. One day, as he looked along the shore, he saw a human figure moving like a dancer. As he came closer he saw that it was a young woman and she was not dancing but was reaching down to the sand, picking up starfish and very gently throwing them into the ocean. "Young lady", he asked, "Why are you throwing starfish into the ocean?" "The sun is up, and the tide is going out, and if I do not throw them in they will die." "But young lady, do you not realise that there are miles and miles of beach and starfish all along it? You cannot possibly make a difference." The young woman listened politely, paused and then bent down, picked up another starfish and threw it into the sea, past the breaking waves, saying: "It made a difference for that one."
